The Elizabeth Brewster House offers Adult Social Day Programs that provide a “home away from home” for adults to engage in recreation and other activities in a safe, enriching environment. Each program serves to assist families with the care of their loved one when personal time and availability creates a strain.

The Elizabeth Brewster House offers Adult Social Day Programs that provide a “home away from home” for adults to engage in recreation and other activities in a safe, enriching environment. What is the Adult Social Day Program?
The EBH Adult Social Day Program is licensed to provide supervised care for adults in our homelike atmosphere as a true park of a caring community. The program strives to help each person maintain individual dignity, self-identity and enhance their quality of life. The Brewster House Social Day Program offers a variety of planned activities to meet individual needs. Who should attend? Adults who: -have physical impairments that require assistance or supervision -have memory loss or cognitive impairments that interfere with daily functioning -have caregivers who are in need of respite The Adult Social Day Program is typically designed for persons aged 55 and over, however, special consideration may be given to those under 55 whose needs may be met in and adult day care setting. What are the benefits to the family and participants? -offers respite to the full time caregiver -allows family members time for employment or school opportunities -allows family to take daily trips -provides less costly care than in-home or long term care -enables the family to remain together longer, delaying long term care admissions -provides opportunities for companionship and socialization -continuous support and supervision -full time or part time participant attendance What services do we provide? -approved food service provides a hot nutritious noon meal -morning and afternoon snacks served -supervision of medication by EBH medical staff What are the fees and application process? -the cost is $85 per day, payment can be arranged on a weekly or monthly basis -an assisted living medical evaluation and PPD test are required within 30 days prior to admission to the program What activities do we provide? -educational programs -social activities and crafts -daily walks and outdoor games when weather permits -music and sing-a-longs -bingo -planned outings -rest and relaxation If you are interested in learning more about our Social Adult Day Program please contact
