SHORT-TERM CARE / RESPITE SERVICES
The Elizabeth Brewster House offers short-term care (also known as respite care) in Assisted Living and Enhanced Assisted Living. Short-term/respite care services allow seniors to receive temporary care for up to thirty days. The respite care program is a short-term opportunity for seniors transitioning from rehabilitation. Respite services also cater to adults who may need assistance while primary caregivers vacation, attend to work responsibilities, or simply take time for themselves.

Care/Respite Services include:
Culinary Services The Elizabeth Brewster House provides three professionally-prepared meals and a variety of snacks daily. Meals can be tailored to accommodate dietary needs and preferences. Hospitality Services Daily housekeeping, maintenance, and laundry services are provided daily available to Brewster House residents. Transportation Access Residents are provided safe and convenient transportation to stores, libraries, community resources, and recreational events through the EBH Recreation Department. Personal Care Residents are offered assistance with hygiene management (including bathing/showering), medication management, dressing, and care reminders- daily, and as needed. All care is provided 24 hours a day by competent nurses and care aides. Emergency call systems are in all of resident rooms, suites, and common areas. Recreation The Brewster House’s Recreation Department offers a variety of programs, events and opportunities for residents of all levels of mobility and engagement. Spiritual services are available weekly. Case Management The Elizabeth Brewster House on-site Case Managers offer personal, social, and financial support and guidance while acting as the residents’ family liaison. Staff Training All staff of the Elizabeth Brewster House are fully trained and instructed during orientations and routine in-services on the delivery of proper care for residents. |
