Adult Day PROGRAM
ENRICHING DAILY LIFE
The Elizabeth Brewster House offers Adult Social Day Programs that provide a “home away from home” for adults to engage in recreation and other activities in a safe, enriching environment. Each program serves to assist families with the care of their loved one when personal time and availability creates a strain.
The Adult Social Day Program is typically designed for persons aged 55 and over, however, special consideration may be given to those under 55 whose needs may be met in and adult day care setting.
WHAT ACTIVITIES DO WE PROVIDE?
Lunch, morning and afternoon snacks are provided while they enjoy a days' worth of educational programs, social activities, crafts, daily walks, outdoor games when weather permits, music, live entertainment, bingo and other board games, planned outings (transportation is provided), relaxation as well as self-care treatments. All under supervision by trained Elizabeth Brewster House staff.
WHY CHOOSE OUR ADULT PROGRAM?
Our adult program offers respite to the full-time caregiver and allows family members time for employment, day trips, or school opportunities. This is a less costly option compared to in-home or long-term care options and enables the family to remain together longer, delaying long-term care admissions.
We provide an opportunity for your loved one to find companionship and socialization, with continuous support and supervision to give you peace of mind. Full-time or part-time participant attendance is available.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR OUR PROGRAM?
Adults who have physical impairments that require assistance or supervision, have memory loss or cognitive impairments that interfere with daily functioning, or, have caregivers who need respite during daytime hours (not overnight care). An assisted living medical evaluation and PPD test are required within 30 days before admission to the program to ensure they are a fit for our program.
The Adult Social Day Program is typically designed for persons aged 55 and over, however, special consideration may be given to those under 55 whose needs may be met in and adult day care setting.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
Our cost is $100 per day, payment can be arranged on a weekly or monthly basis for approved adults.
