The Elizabeth Brewster House is the first and only senior living community in Cortland County to be certified by the New York State Department of Health to provide enhanced professional care services. The Elizabeth Brewster House's unique program offers a comfortable home-like setting accompanied by secure and individually tailored assistance with care. The community provides dignified support that surpasses that which is typical of traditional adult home care. With respect, esteem, and character, the Elizabeth Brewster House offers many an affordable alternative to nursing home care.
The Elizabeth Brewster House offers short-term and long-term care, as well as an adult day program.
Our Short-Term Care is an opportunity for seniors transitioning from rehabilitation. Respite services also cater to adults who may need assistance while primary caregivers vacation, attend to work responsibilities, or, simply take time for themselves.

The Adult Social Day Program provides a “home away from home” for adults to engage in recreation and other activities in a safe, enriching environment. Each program serves to assist families with the care of their loved ones when personal time and availability create a strain.

At our Senior Care Facility, we believe that daily life should be enriching and fulfilling. That's why we offer a range of activities to help our residents stay healthy and happy. With educational programs, social activities, crafts, outdoor games, live entertainment, bingo, planned outings, and more, there's always something to look forward to. Personal Care
Live-in residents are offered assistance with hygiene management (including bathing/showering), medication management, dressing, and care reminders- daily, and as needed. Daily housekeeping, maintenance, and laundry services are provided.
Medical Care
Medication Management, Medical Equipment Management, and Diabetic Management are available. Care is provided 24 hours a day by competent nurses and care aides. Emergency call systems are in all resident rooms, suites, and common areas.
Other Support
Our On-site Case Manager is assigned to each resident. Food, transportation, and general assistance getting around (we are wheelchair accessible and offer a wheelchair-accessible van). Recreational programs occur daily, keeping residents active and engaged.
